Acceptable Use Policy

Why this page exists

A tool that convincingly places a real person into a scene they were never in is genuinely useful and genuinely open to abuse. Pretending otherwise would be dishonest. This page draws the lines explicitly so nobody has to guess.

Never allowed

• Sexual content involving anyone, real or depicted, without consent — and any sexualised depiction of a minor, in any context whatsoever. This is the line we enforce most aggressively, with no warnings and no appeals.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery of any kind, including placing a real person's face onto a sexual or nude image.
• Impersonation intended to deceive — putting a real person somewhere they never were in order to make people believe it happened, including fake evidence and fabricated news imagery.
• Forged documents: identification, certificates, receipts, invoices, tickets, or anything else meant to pass as a genuine record.
• Harassment: imagery that targets, humiliates or intimidates a specific person.
• Content that promotes violence, self-harm, or a violent extremist cause.

Requires care

• Recognisable people who haven't consented. Legal in many jurisdictions, unwise in most. If you would not be comfortable showing them the result, don't make it.
• Brand and product imagery you don't own. Trademark rules still apply to a picture, however it was made.
• Anything published without labelling. For journalism, documentary and advertising, disclose that an image was AI-composited. Several jurisdictions now require it, and it is decent practice everywhere.

Ordinary, encouraged use

Product photography, marketing and social imagery, mockups and concept work, family photos where everyone involved is fine with it, restoring and combining old pictures, interior visualisation, and personal creative work. This is what the tool is for and it is the overwhelming majority of what happens on it.

How enforcement works

Prompts and outputs pass through the model provider's own safety filters before reaching you; some requests will simply be refused there. On our side, we act on reports and on patterns in usage. Confirmed serious violations end the account immediately and permanently, and where the law requires reporting, we report.

We would rather explain this once, clearly, than surprise anyone with it later.

If you find something made here being used against someone, email hello@bestimagecombiner.com. Reports involving a real person's likeness are handled the same day.
